Dave is a native of New Jersey and graduated from Boston University, Sargent College. He has been a physical therapist for over 30 years. He and his family relocated to Maine in 1987 and he opened Falmouth Physical Therapy. He has enjoyed a successful career providing manual therapy to a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and has a special interest in working with dancers. David is actively researching and developing new strategies for treating chronic pain.
David treats using a wide variety of strategies that are based upon the originating problem. His practice includes a wide range of manual therapy techniques which may include myofascial release, reciprocal inhibition techniques, craniosacral therapy, strain-counter strain, and assisted deep tissue mobilization. He has a particular interest in developing specific home programs that are meaningful to each individual. No two programs are the same and always reflect the patient’s goals and interests.
In addition to his physical therapy practice, David enjoys teaching both therapeutic yoga and Pilates in the community. David has been an avid biker. He volunteers his time and talents to a local food pantry, his church, and provides onsite services to professional dancers.
Joe is a native of Windham, Maine and a graduate of The University of New England, where he earned his physical therapy degree in 1992. Throughout his career, he has spent the majority of his efforts treating orthopedic injuries incurred from sports activities, the workplace, and as a result of musculoskeletal and joint dysfunction.
He utilizes a wide range of manual physical therapy techniques including joint mobilization, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), KinesioTaping, and direct myofascial release. Joe has extensive training in workplace injury and enjoys working with ergonomic issues and postural/position strains. He is skilled at incorporating the methods of Mulligan, Janda, and Paris techniques into his practice.
This, in conjunction with progressive functional stretching and strengthening regimens has effectively assisted clients in regaining maximum return to their prior level activity. He is an active guy, who relates well to high level athletes, people battling postural issues, and weekend warrior. He is an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys hunting and fishing a great deal. Joe resides in Falmouth, loves spending time with his wife, Vicki, and their two daughters.
